Maradona by Teddy Peiro
Argentina’s tango tradition was brought to England by bandoneon player Teddy Peiro. Performing with his wife, Gillian, a vocalist who specializes in English translation of classic tango tunes, Peiro continues to inspire dancers with his fiery playing. Together with his quintet, Teddy Peiro Tango Five, Peiro was heard in the background of a restaurant scene in the 1992 film Howard’s End. Peiro is currently the president of the United Kingdom Of Tango, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the Argentinean musical style.
