Arpeggios
1) Right-hand only practice is recommended once again! I know I’ve suggested it a lot in this book, but it is such a valuable tool for gaining security and awareness. It will be challenging to play right-hand only, so take your time.
2) The study incorporates the use of shifts, stretching, and squeze-shifts. It’s easy to make mistakes at first, so always know ahead of time where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. Try to feel and see the shift or stretch in your mind before you start to move your hands.
3) There’s a lot of right-hand string crossing invloved with this one. Keep your plucking fingers perpendicular to the strings and take care not to drift to the left or right.
