La Borinquena by Traditional
La Borinqueña is the national anthem of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The title refers to the aboriginal Taíno name for the island of Puerto Rico, Borikén or Boriquén which means ‘small crab,’as the word ‘buruquena’ suggests.
