“Scarborough fair” is an example of how the classical guitar can sound like 2 instruments. With the suspended bass and running lead, the guitar produces 2 voices (Bass and treble).

Not much technique except use the thumb to strike the bass and keep the note suspended. mostly A (open 5th string). Try and suspend the bass as long as possible. 2 notes are plucked with thumb and middle (pm) finger most of the time. A good solo guitar piece always contain 2 or more voices. Having voice diversity broadens the guitar’s musical capability.
