Greensleeves– Traditional English
This is a short and sweet song. “Greensleeves” is a traditional English folk song and tune, a ground of the form called a romanesca. Romanesca is a song form popular in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. It was most popular with Italian composers of the early Baroque period.

Take note on time. This is not a linear, uniform song. Some parts are faster than other. The 3 or 4 finger chord is not strummed but plucked simultaneously. Pay heed to hold the suspended bass note. This song has many elements. suspended bass, 3-4 finger chords plucks, nonlinear timing (6/8). Try and play it with a jumpy feel.
