Gigue In A Major by Arcangelo Corelli (1653 -1713)
Arcangelo Corelli was an Italian violinist and composer of Baroque music. His compositions are distinguished by a beautiful flow of melody and by a mannerly treatment of the accompanying parts, which he is justly said to have liberated from the strict rules of counterpoint. Corelli composed 48 trio sonatas, 12 violin and continuo sonatas, and 12 concerti grossi.
