Gran Jota by Francisco Tarrega (Guitar Tab)

Gran Jota Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909)

Francisco Tarrega
Tárrega is considered to have laid the foundations for 20th century classical guitar and for increasing interest in the guitar as a recital instrument. Tárrega preferred small intimate performances over the concert stage. Some believe this was because he played without the nails needed for volume. Others say this was related to his childhood trauma.

Notes
Romantic. Huge! 19 pages. 382 measure. Key of A minor-A major. 3/4 Time Signature. Arr by Howard Wallach.

Tamburo
Thie piece uses the tamburo effect. Tambour (also called tambor, tamboro or tambora), is a technique in Flamenco guitar and classical guitar that emulates the sound of a heartbeat. The player uses a flat part of the hand, usually the side of the outstretched right thumb, or also the edge of the palm below the little finger, and sounds the strings by striking them rapidly just inside the bridge of the guitar. Tamburo Tutorial

In this Guitar Pro/PDF, I’ve added (PM) Palm mute to mimic Tamburo effect. Guitar pro-to my knowledge-does not offer the tamburo feature. Please note it is NOT played palm muted!
