“El paño moruno” (The Moorish Cloth) originates from the Andalusian province of Murcia, in south- eastern Spain. It tells how a shop reduced the price of a delicate cloth because of a stain. The melody of this song is taken from the popular Andalusian air “El paño,” but Falla slightly changes the melody.
