Notes
Baroque Era. Invention No.8. Solo Guitar. Arranged by Ken Hummer. 34 Measures. 3 Pages. 3/4 Time Signature. Key of A.
An invention is a short composition (usually for a keyboard instrument) in two-part counterpoint. Bach had composed 15 inventions. Inventions are usually not performed in public, but serve as exercises for keyboard students, and as pedagogical exercises for composition students. Inventions are similar in style to a fugue, though they are much simpler.
